A 230 m2 mural – a fusion of Middle Eastern-Oriental and historic-mondern art is a new attaction in Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai (UAE). Created (live art) during DSS (Dubai Summer Surprises) in August 2020, by the artist Shahul Hameed in colaboration with ZeeArts Gallery.
Dubai is a city where dream come true and more than 200 nationalities coexist in harmony. This new creation at Ibn Battuta will take customers on a journey of culture and vision, reflecting an overall theme of Connecting, Creativity and Collaboration. – Zaahirah Muthy, curator of ZeeArts Gallery
Ibn Battuta Mall (in Dubai, UAE), with its six themed courts, reflects the regions explored by the famous traveler Ibn Battuta: China, India, Persia, Egypt, Andalusia and Tunisia. It is the world’s biggest themed mall.

Khalvat (Persian: hidden, private sanctum) – artwork by Iranian sculptor Sahand Hesamiyan, displayed at Dubai Opera Plaza in Downtown Dubai (Dubai, UAE). The sculpture, resembing a diamond or a tree cone, is combining the shapes of Sassanid crystal bowl and lotus flower blossom.
