55 years on the right-hand side

55 years ago Dubai switched from left-hand to right-hand driving. On September 1, 1966 (on Thursday – which was the first day of the weekend up to 2006) “the change in the rule of the road” came into effect.

The driving change was also done in other Trucial States (the United Arab Emitares union was created some time later – on December 2, 1971).

March Worm Moon 2021

Full Moon on March 28, 2021 – in Dubai, UAE. It is called the Worm Moon, the Crow Moon and the Sap Moon. In the Northern Hemisphere, with the warmer weather, the earth (and the eartworms) is slowly preparing for spring. In Soutern Hemisphere this Full Moon is known as the Full Harvest Moon.
