Where ideas meet. For a long time, encounters with external influences have played a key role in the development of Japan. Moving towards the future, Japan will continue to be a place where ideas meet.

In the Japan Pavilion:

  • Where ideas meet. A diverse range of Japanese content is showcased with cutting-edge technologies. Learn how new interactions of ideas lead to a better future and also be encouraged to post your ideas, paving the way for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
  • Once-only experience created from visitor activity. Bespoke smartphones lent out to visitors will keep track of what they showed interest in, and the data will be used to create a finale specific to that day and time.
  • An immersive realm of mist. Video projection in a space filled with cool, ultra-fine mist will help visualise three-dimensional art in an immersive experience. Once-only experience created from visitor activity / an immersive realm of mist.
  • Designing Future Society for Our Lives – Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai will be held in Japan in 2025. The section will introduce how ideas, actions, and challenges of people from around the world can come together. Your ideas and messages will shape the next Expo.
  • Japan Pavilion architecture. Façade combining arabesque and origami motifs (Arabesque and Asanoha patterns) represents the ties between Japan and the Middle East.
  • Elaborate miniatures (mitate). Explore modern Japan and its future through a series of cute mitate using day-to-day objects.
  • Walk through an infinity mirror room. The infinity mirror room juxtaposes visitors’ images and challenges the world faces today.
  • A 360-degree theater. Experience the 360-degree theater integrating innovative data technology.
  • Kaiten sushi chain Sushiro opens its first restaurant in the Middle East to serve visitors.
