A country with a story that the world urgently needs to hear. Pavilion of Marshall Islands at EXPO 2020 in Dubai, UAE.
January 2022
We are all a drop in the ocean. With 29 atolls and 5 islands scattered amidst 180,000 sqm of the Pacific being submerged due to rising sea levels, the pavilion follows a water theme emphasising the urgent impact of climate change.
In the Marshall Islands Pavilion:
- Despite the islands’ natural beauty and spirit, the message is clear, the world needs to take action.
- Hear the moving poetry of native Kathy Jetnil-Kijiner, which was read out at the UN climate summit.
- Discover the islands’ history, ambitions, challenges and insights into the opportunities they offer.
