Kalanchoe blossfeldiana / kalanchoe / widow’s-thrill / flaming Katy / florist kalanchoe / Christmas kalanchoe – is a succulent plant of genus Kalanchoe, native to Madagascar. A Kalanchoe species are known to be one of the first plants to be sent into space (Soviet Salyut 1 space station, 1979).
