Camel racing – an important part of Arab heritage – dates back to the 7th century B.C.
One of the the biggest camel racing events in UAE – Dubai Crown Prince Camel Festival (fourth edition) took place at Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve (Emirate of Dubai, UAE) in January 2021:
- 11 days (16-27 January 2021);
- 326 laps (of 5 km to 8 km);
- 5 categories: designated for Their Highnesses Sheikhs and Tribesmen.
