Khatt: hotsprings, watchtowers and a fort

Khatt a village in Al Hajar Mountains, in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (United Arab Emirates) with more than 5 thousand years of history. Khatt is famous for the hot springs (sulphorous waters, not allowed to take photos inside), a rock-top hotel (currently under renovation), watchtowers and a 19. century fort (it used to be residence of Al Qasimi – the ruling family of Ras Al Khaimah, then a museum, now renovated private property – not open for visiting, however very beautiful from outside).
