The Full Harvest Moon on 1st October 2020 – one of the two full moons this month, the first Full Moon this year during astronomical autumn. It is called the Harvest Moon beacuse of its light being useful in harvesting the crops in the evening.
This year Harvest Moon is also a Micromoon (it appears smaller than usual) since it is in apogee – in the point in its orbit farthest from Earth.
On 3rd October (at 03:25 GMT) the conjunction (meeting) of the Moon and Mars could be observed.
