Tree of Life

“Tree of Life” (Arabic: Shajarat-al-Hayat) – a 400-year-old ghaf tree, almost 10m high (and with roots believed to be 50m long), growing in the middle of a desert in Bahrain, near (2 km) Jebel Dukhan (Mountain of Smoke, 134m), the country’s highest point.

Ghaf treeprosopis cineraria – is a flowering evergreen (despite desert environment) tree in the Fabaceae family, native to parts of Western Asia and the Indian Subcontinent.
