Fat Thursday (Tłusty Czwartek) is a Donuts Thursday in Poland! It’s the last Thursday of the Carnival, just before the Lent – time of fasting – starts on Ash Wednesday.
How many doughnuts / donuts (pączki) would you be able to eat? 😉

Fat THURSDAY?! I thought it was Fat Tuesday or Mardi Gras, the day before Ash Wednesday.
I’m glad I’m not in Poland or else I’d have missed my donut. There’s still time here to get me some deep fried goodies 🙂

Fat Tuesday is in France. In Poland we are celebrting earlier 😉 There is also Shrove Tuesday (“Ostatki”) – but then we eat… herrings 😉 🙂 😀

On Shrove Tuesday, which the English part of America celebrates, we eat pancakes 🙂

Ah, I had donuts on Wednesday, one day too early! I had no idea that there was Fat Thursday, although I’ve heard of Lent and Fat Tuesday (i.e. Mardi Gras). Those donuts look divine, and I’ll have to have some more in the near future! 🙂

You’ll have the chance next next 😉 And you should be in Poland then – it’s a real donut feast! 🙂
