Skógafoss (Forests Waterfall) – a waterfall on the Skógá (Forests) river in Southern Region in Iceland. One of the largest in the country (60 m high, 25 m wide). Situated on the former sea cliff. Legend has it, the treasure of Vikings is hidden in a cave behind the waterfall.

A 22-km-long hiking route from Skógar (and Skógafoss) to Thórsmörk (Þórsmörk) goes through Fimmvörðuháls, the area between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull.

Skógafoss is featured in music videos (Sólstafir Fjara, Justin Bieber I’ll Show You), TV shows (Game of Thrones – season 8; Vikings) and movies (Thor: The Dark World; The Secret Life of Walter Mitty; Dilwale).
