Charminar and the Old City

The Charminar (“Four Minarets/Pillars”) – a monument and mosque in Hyderabad, India and the symbol of that city. Constructed in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah (5th ruler of the Qutb Shahi dynasty), who shifted his capital from Golconda to Hyderabad.
The Charminar is surrounded by the bazaars, one of them: Laad Bazaar (Choodi Bazaar) – a famous market for bangles .
