De Wachter (the Watchman) – a smock mill (corn and oil) in Zuidlaren, Netherlands, built in 1851, closed after hundred years an restored in 1968-1970. Four steam engines are still working.
The XIX century style mill complex :
– a bakery,
– a blacksmith’s workshop,
– a butcher’s shop,
– a clog (klomp) maker’s workshop,
– a grocery shop,
– a millwright’s workshop
– a spice mill.
– a waggon maker’s workshop.
The museum is open form half April till October:
– on Wednesdays – 13:00-16:30,
– on Saturdays – 3000-16:30.
